Sights aboard the Queen Mary

Some of the things we saw on board we didn’t dare point the camera towards.  Some fantastic (and unbelievable for that matter) cosmetic surgery comes to mind.  And some things are best left in your mind’s memory book.  But some things…..

Only five metres separate the top of the ship and the bottom of this bridge as we leave New York. Not much space in the overall scheme of things. The Grand Lobby on level two with the staircase to level three. The library is the bottom row of windows. The fanciful pieces of art in the background are actually spare propellers. She played everything from classics to classic rock and roll. We sat in the Chart Room every day to listen and watch. What a gig. That's exactly how I serve cantaloupe at home. This is one of several reliefs just off the Grand Lobby. It's about 10 feet high and 20 to 25 feet long. You would be surprised at who comes along for the ride. The bow tie defeated us. Oh well. Ken looked splendid regardless. No trip is complete without a beautiful cloud or two. Or a sunset for that matter.
